The 2016 Planeta Cometa is a white wine produced in Sicily by the family estate Planeta. The project is relatively recent, as they planted the first vineyards in Ulmo in 1985, however the family has an agricultural heritage spanning seventeen generations.
Cometa’s project is made from Fiano grape variety, originally from the region of Campania but very popular in Sicily. Planeta’s plan was to create a wine from southern Italian grapes, able to compare with the world’s great whites. The result was a wine with intense and fruity aromas, great structure and minerals.
The 2016 Planeta Cometa unveils citrus, white fruit and a very peculiar apricot note, alongside cream and green herbs’ hints. It is particularly interesting if enjoyed with fish, seafood and sushi, but also with soft cheese. It’s indicated for a classy refreshment during a hot summer’s day.

All the orders placed before 3pm are delivered the very next working day. We use different courier partners in order to be able to pick the safest option for the bottles to be transported. Our service covers deliveries to the United Kingdom only and it is free of charge for any order above £200.
