2016 Pascal Jolivet Pouilly-Fume Indigene
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Critic Rating
Pascal Jolivet is a relatively new name, the domaine having being established only in 1987, however it comes from a long tradition of winemaking. Jolivet family has been established in Sancerre originally, but the specific quest of Pascal is to refocus on Sauvignon Blanc as an expression of the whole Loire terroir.
The 2016 Pascal Jolivet Pouilly-Fume Indigene is a very highly rated wine. Only 30% of the estate production comes from the Pouilly-Fume appellation, making this wine a proper gem in the domaine’s portfolio. This vintage displays aromas of citrus and apple, ideal to well accompany seafood and fish, but also a proud sparring partner for a trendy sushi or for a veggie option based on soft cheese and crudités.
Should our customers need any further excuses to uncork a 2016 Pascal Jolivet Pouilly-Fume Indigene, we would suggest either a lunch in a hot summer’s day, or a relaxed dinner party or any particular occasion when you wish to impress your friends.
