2008 Alter Ego de Palmer

SKU: N/A Categories: ,

Alter Ego de Palmer is the second wine of the iconic Château Palmer, a gem of Margaux appellation in the Left Bank of Bordeaux. The wine today accounts for about 40% of the total sales of the château, a popularity likely to have increased due its fruitier, more approachable characteristics compared to the Grand Vin.

Alter Ego is aged for about 20 months, exposed to no more than 50% of new French oak. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties, we believe Alter Ego de Palmer is a wine able to make simple food very special: we think lamb is a perfect combination, however beef would make a great pair too, whether you might be approaching a fillet steak or just hitting a juicy burger. We recommend it as a well thought gift, but also in case you might wish to impress your friends with something quite very special.
